A few months ago, I had the opportunity to sit down with Scott Douglas at the NYRR Run Center to tackle my favorite topic - the connection between mental health and movement. Scott Douglas is a contributing editor for Runner's World and author or co-author of seven running books, including Meb for Mortals and Running Is My Therapy and I'm the lucky person he reached out to and asked to write the foreword to his book! On this episode, we dive into the well-known truth in the running community that running can be a fantastic tool to help manage mental health. Through anecdotal stories as well as scientific explanations, Scott makes the case for using this powerful tool to help us live better and fuller lives. Take a listen and let me know what you think and be sure to pick up your copy of Running Is My Therapy ASAP. --- Follow Alison on Instagram at instagram.com/Alisonmdesir; Twitter: twitter.com/Alisonmdesir; Facebook: Facebook.com/Alisonmdesir.
